An individual participates in a variety of community life experiences that may include leisure/recreational activities, self advocacy activities, cultural activities, adult educational activities, personal care skill building, employment exploration and skill development, volunteering, and gaining a greater familiarity with the community and how to access resources.
Through participation in Adult Habilitation/Community Access Services, individuals choose activities of interest to him/her, with emphasis on achieving specific goals and developing relationships that help them move towards greater independence.
In addition to the wide array of daily activities, other supports such as medication assistance, nursing oversight, and nutritional counseling are offered. These services are designed around the individual’s unique needs and desires and promote maximum participation in community life.
