Family Support Services
Respite/Personal Care services are provided to individual's of any age and may be provided in the individual's home or in a variety of community settings.
Respite services are time-limited scheduled supports to the individual that provide relief from the ongoing responsibilities of the primary caregiver. These may include routine health care, meal preparation and eating assistance, self-help skills assistance, and assistance with developing leisure activities.
Opportunities are provided to encourage the individual to be involved in their neighborhood and the community, choose activities, and participate in leisure, play and other recreational activities.
Personal Care services assist the individual with daily living activities and personal care skills ranging from total care to developing and improving these skills and other self-help skills. Supports may include completion of household tasks, meal preparation, assistance with transportation, shopping, personal care activities, and assistance with self-administration of medication.
A 24-hour on-call system provides emergency backup support for all individuals receiving Respite or Personal Care services in order to assure the health and safety of the individual.
